MEET US

Twilight has been a cherished resident at Amazing Grace Sanctuary since 5/3/20. Known for her distinct Scream or Howl that we affectionately call the Twilight alarm, she alerts us when someone she recognizes arrives. This cuddly and easy-going dog loves belly rubs and showering you with kisses. Twilight was rescued from the Phillipsburg Mall and is now one of our beloved adoptable animals, sharing her heartwarming pet stories as part of our ongoing commitment to animal care and dog adoption.

Tessa has been a beloved resident at Amazing Grace Sanctuary since 1/4/20, having traveled all the way from South Carolina. Her nickname should be Queen Tessa, as she always gets her way. This cuddly dog loves to be petted, and if you dare to stop, she will firmly plant herself on your lap, making it impossible for you to get up! Tessa adores her outdoor bed, and even on the coldest days, it’s a challenge to bring her inside to warm up. Sonic has been a cherished member of the Amazing Grace Sanctuary since 4/2/21. This easy-going dog gets along great with other dogs and was just a puppy when he arrived at our animal rescue. Recently, he faced a health challenge with cancer on one of his toes. Dr. Blease, the owner of the sanctuary, along with his incredible team of veterinary technicians, rescheduled their entire day to ensure Sonic received the necessary amputation. Thanks to their exceptional animal care, he is now alive and well. With his big puppy dog eyes, he eagerly awaits his turn to be walked. After eating, he barks into his food bowl, seemingly enjoying the echo of his voice. Ilana has been a beloved resident at Amazing Grace Sanctuary since 2/22/20. This easygoing pup loves her peanut butter-filled Kong and is dedicated to getting every last bit of peanut butter out of an empty jar. With one floppy ear and a collection of toys, she showcases her playful nature. As one of the many adoptable animals at our sanctuary, Ilana stands out for her intelligence and playful spirit, making her an ideal candidate for dog adoption. Zoey is one of the many adoptable animals at Amazing Grace Sanctuary, where she has been since 5/14/23. Animal control discovered her tied to a post in the sweltering sun at an abandoned house, with no food or water in sight. She was wearing a harness that had become so tight it needed to be cut off. Unfortunately, her tail was broken at some point and now resembles the letter L. Despite her tough exterior, Zoey prefers to be carried rather than walk. If you carry her for a while, she'll start to doze off, showcasing her gentle spirit. Pocket has been a cherished resident at Amazing Grace Sanctuary since 11/5/23, and he is a big-headed lovable meatball! This adorable pup won’t do anything unless he gets a treat, which makes him a perfect candidate for dog adoption. When we take him for a walk, he takes his time to smell every single scent along the way, showcasing his unique personality. Baby Layla has been at Amazing Grace Sanctuary since 5/14/23. When she first arrived, this sweet adoptable animal was so scared that her tail was tucked between her legs, and she just shook with fear. During her initial walks, she managed to venture only about 100 feet from the building before pulling you right back. However, as she began to trust us through our dedicated animal care, she would stay glued to your leg for the entire walk. Layla eventually came out of her shell, and we paired her up with Gino; they have been best friends ever since! It's heartwarming to see how she always lets him win during their playtime; she could easily win if she wanted to, but that's what love does in the world of animal rescue.

Gino has been at Amazing Grace Sanctuary since 9/24/22, arriving from South Carolina. Initially, he was so scared that we had to use his friend, whom he came in with, to help him out of his crate. After his friend was adopted, Gino felt all alone until Baby Layla joined him. The two of them now act as one dog, jumping in unison. Gino always thinks he has the upper hand against her, but we all know she lets him win. Their bond is just one of the many heartwarming pet stories that showcase the importance of animal care and the joy of dog adoption at our animal rescue.
